Master Your Destiny: Defining your Vision, Mission and Culture

If you don’t know where you are going how are you going to get there? And how are you going to enrol and inspire your team to want to get there too?

In this workshop we will consider your company’s vision – what is its higher purpose, what is its most ambitious and longest term aim and how will the world have changed if it achieves that aim? We'll explore how to define your companies missions and how to go about achieving the vision you have set for your Company.  

We’ll also look at your points of culture – how do you explain what is different about your business to your team, to your customers – and to yourself? We’ll discuss ways you write these down and what you should do with them once you have done so.

Once you’ve created your vision, mission and points of culture, we’ll talk about goal setting – how you work back from long-term goals to short-term, specific milestones for the next few months. We’ll consider some simple visualisation and verbalisation techniques and learn the power of doing just one new thing a week.

By the end of the workshop you will have a clear idea about how to get your team – and yourself – excited about where your business is going and how you’re going to get there.

Participants will be given a copy of the book “Instant Team Building” by Brad Sugars.

Preparation: It would be useful if you brought any existing company mission statements or objectives, perhaps as stated in business plans, and considered how well these are understood by your colleagues and the extent to which they are a guide to day-to-day action.
